World Plumbing Day is March 11

Mark your calendar! March 11 th is World Plumbing Daywhich has its roots not only in plumbing, but also in water safety awareness. In Sacramento, we understand to cherish our water supply and treat it well. However, have you considered others who don’t have access to water as we do?

According to press documents on World Plumbing Day, the United Nations declared 2005 to 2015 the International Decade for Action ” Water for Life,” motivated by the many preventable diseases related to water and sanitation which claim “the lives of about 3.1 million people per year, most of them children less than 5 years old.”

The World Health Organization and the World Plumbing Council developed the ” Health Aspects of Plumbing” that notes that sustainable health, especially for children, is not possible without access to safe drinking water and basic sanitation facilities. [JSR1]

So, on March 11, hug a plumber in Northern California – not for fixing your sink (although that would be nice) but for serving an important role in taking care of the water supply of the city in which you live. In the meantime, if you have any plumbing needs, we invite you to call our Beutler Air Conditioning & Plumbing experts in Sacramento at 916-646-2222.
