Beutler Plumbing Congratulates “Think Clean” Winners

A couple of months ago, Beutler Air Conditioning & Plumbing announced our partnership with the Sacramento City Unified School District (SCUSD) and ” Project WET.” The contest aimed to encourage the students of SCUSD to “Think Clean” and share their ideas on how to conserve water in their community.

They did in ways we couldn’t have imagined. The feedback was wonderful. Parents of Sacramento, you have some impressive children considering the thoughts we saw concerning how to better take care of our water supply. As difficult as it was to narrow down the winners, we were able to award the below students for exceptional creativity, topic-specificity, and sustainability of their ideas.

Please join Beutler Air Conditioning & Plumbing in congratulating these SCUSD students:

  • First Place – Berenice Vargas, fourth grade, Oak Ridge Elementary School. Awarded $250.
  • Second Place – Dylan Brousseu, Javien Camacho and Billy Dodd, fourth grade, Mark Twain Elementary School. Awarded $150.
  • Third Place – Velveth Escamilla, fifth grade, Cesar Chavez Intermediate School – Awarded $100.

“With the current, historical drought in California, the Think Clean contest became even more relevant and impactful on the community,” said Jim Anderberg, regional manager, Beutler Air Conditioning & Plumbing Sacramento. “It’s rewarding to see how the students are recognizing the importance of conserving water and keeping it clean to benefit not just themselves, but their communities, the environment and the future.”
